The copper is bare and uncoated and will oxidize in the presence of air, heat and moisture. Please note that copper is soft, so care should be to maintain the shape of these earrings by not sleeping in them or bending.

Please keep copper in a plastic bag or tarnish resistant cloth when not wearing. It is recommended to not wear copper in water or to bed as this may cause your copper to darken or turn green. Copper can be polished by wiping with ketchup and rinsing, or using a Yellow Sunshine polishing cloth or soaking in a solution of vinegar, salt, lemon juice, dishwashing liquid and water and rinsing and drying well afterwards.
